June 7IMG_2040th, 2016 Porto, Portugal – last week, Carlton Nettleton took time to share the journey of CSP Fast Pass with the attendees at Agile Portugal 2016, a two-day regional conference hosted by the Agile community in Portugal.  This year, Carlton was an invited speaker to Agile Portugal and spoke to nearly three hundred people on Friday, June 3rd.

The title of his presentation was “Learning from Product Failure to Achieve New Product Success!”  In this sixty-minute talk, Carlton shared the various set backs, insights and iterations of CSP Fast Pass as he and Jason Tanner developed the program over two years.  Specifically, Carlton discussed how he applied Innovation Games and Value Proposition Design to zero in on the market need of Certified Scrum Professionals (CSP).

“CSP Fast Pass was definitely a long journey.  We went down a lot of dead ends to reach the four-month, on-demand program we have today.  Once Jason and I made the decision to be more disciplined and use Lean Startup concepts, our efforts became much more focused with hypothesis testing and experimentation.  We are glad the Agile community in Portugal could see how these tools and techniques can be applied to a real product that delivers a real market impact.”, said Carlton Nettleton.  To view Carlton’s presentation on SlideShare, follow this link.
